THE DREAM

It starts as a fragile, wispy thing that might float right on by unnoticed. Except, it snags on something within your soul and lodges there. And then you start to feel it. Yes, it feels good. But it also hurts. It aches, because you desperately long to bring it to life.

So, caught in between that wonderful vision of what can be, and that painful realization of what has not yet been fulfilled, you know you've got to do something about it. And your passion begins to build. And that makes you want it even more. It begins to gnaw at you, urging you constantly to do something, do something, do something about it.

With a determination that you just can't deny, you take the first step. And it feels good. It feels powerful. And though you don't even know what the next step will be, you resolve to figure it out, and you do, and you take that next step, and the next. Driven forward by pure, raw desire, you refuse to listen to those who tell you it can't be done.

And though you get knocked around relentlessly, still you find a way, a way to get back up and run, ride, walk or crawl forward, whatever it takes, every time. Because it's your dream. It's your purpose. It's what you're here to do. It's your gift to give to all that is. You know, beyond knowing, that you must.

With a power you feel in every fiber of your being, but cannot fully explain, you bring the dream to life. And the joy of fulfillment is more intense than you ever could have imagined.

Thank you for that encouragement. Being in a city of “hopelessness” I continue to receive doubt & “hate” from family and friends. Mr. Diddy you continue inspire me. I also see that if I do not put in 100% of my effort into my business then I will not receive 100% success or I want be the next Diddy, Russell Simmons, or Sean Carter.

Your blogs are an inspiration & thank you. I will definitely be reading your blogs everyday. Don’t stop Won’t Stop…

    Thank You,

      Anelo,
I rarely respond to any posting but when I read that you receive doubt an hate from your friends and family, as hard as this will sound, leave. Get away from the negativity. If you can’t leave, block them out. Build your faith with God, and if your not ready to hear about God, than build your faith in something larger than yourself and bigger than money, focus on something worth fighting for. A cause that’s bigger than you that your building your business for. It could be to reach a level of success just like Mr. Combs, then give back to kids that need help. If you do that, it will help you keep fighting to grow yourself and your business when your faced with challenges and obstacles. Make no mistake, you will be faced with them. And be happy when you are, because they’re a test of your strength, determination, and know how. Once you pass, you’ll grow sharper and wiser.

You haven’t asked, but if I can make a suggestion…
Read, a lot. Even if it’s boring at first, but read on anything regarding innovation, strategy both with development and execution. Read about marketing, sales, and team building and leadership. Teach yourself (which you may already know) on finance, and upcoming trends. You may be in college, if not, take even one class to get access to the colleges data base of peer to peer journals. If you buy them there expensive: 300 to 500 each, but through the school these peer to peers journals are free. Even “IF” they’re hard to understand at first, keep reading them, study and teach yourself what doesn’t make since. Read/listen to books on success.

Then just think. Think about were are the opportunities? What problems are people having that maybe you can solve, or way’s to save people time, help them feel better in some way.

Then last, get around people that want to succeed. Learn from them. Read Mr. Diddy’s lesson. Success leave clues. Follow them. Work hard as hell. Don’t get caught up in feeling sorry for yourself. When it’s hard, be OK with being upset, but then let it go and focus on what you need to do. Most of all, do whatever you do with integrity. You can screw up in business in a lot of ways and people will forgive you. Blow your integrity, and your done.

      To your success….

Nice blog entry. I lOVE it!

  9. This site is beautiful and encouraging. I needed some bolstering up and this post did it. I’m trying to keep the dream going of having my own business. I’ve invented an ice bucket dispenser (www.icecalator.com). No tongs needed and hands never touch the ice. There’s nothing else like it. Sometimes I get discouraged by the naysayers,(and by the money I owe, scary) but then I tell myself “they ain’t invented nothing” (lol). At any rate this has encouraged me to keep it moving. I’m in too deep now. It’s either swim or leave the country (lol). But seriously thanks for this upbeat oasis amid a morass of negativity. LET POSITIVITY REIGN!!!

  10. Diddy, When I found out you were the surprise guest this morning on Big Boi’s morning show, then I regretted not going. Before, I knew the show was huge and all those big name artists would be there. But I am in awe of you. I have always admired you and what you stand for. I heard you tell Big Boi you were launching your site today and I am glad you have a place that I can leave a comment for you. Once again, this website, your website is a BRILLIANT idea and that is what the world should know you for. Your brilliant. Love you!

The feeling of accomplishing a dream in like no other. It’s a feeling of joy that comes from God. We are predestined to live in abundance and prosperity. Not just of material things, but from all things.

I can’t wait until my next couple of dreams are captured. Then, its on to the next ones!

This is a classic example of how to actively manifest intentions. This idea was first created in the minds of those who wished for it, and now they are physically putting it into life. When they are done, they will give away the fruits of their labor, which will attract more vitality to all of them, and everyone associated with it.

    God Bless you!!

  17. I know exactly what you mean by the feeling. That major burn in your heart that makes you love life and what you here to achieve and yet it won’t let you accept nothing less than what you believe in. I feel I was called to be a designer since I was 9 years old. Now at 29 with an internet storefront selling designer sneakers from Louis Vuitton to Supras and a budding Fashion show scheduled for October 23rd 2010, I feel I am doing my destined work. I say forget the possibility of security take a chance on yourself It will keep your soul strong. Keep up the Good Work.

I’ve never been afraid to dream but that’s what made me the odd one in my family and at school. Somewhere along the way I became afraid and that left me empty. I’m dreaming again and I’m filling a void & it feels good!!!!!

I also inspire my daughter to follow her dreams! I teach her when others say she can’t, that’s her motivation to say “I can” and later say “I did!”

Yea, we’re dreamers and we wouldn’t have it any other way!!!!!!! See you across the finish line.

    Hey Diddy,

What a blessing it is to happen upon your site this early morning (1:10 am to be exact) and be encouraged, uplifted and inspired by your message of LOVE.
I am a ministry student at Belmont University and Worship Leader at City Church in East Nashville (TN). I rarely have the time or desire to read blogs but this is one I am grateful to have read and believe it is not by chance that I am here today.

It is my prayer that those who are riddled with hate and envy find their way to this site… I pray they will be filled with the divine presence of LOVE that comes from the Creator, God, Yahweh… Love is contagious and all powerful!

Be encouraged and continue to spread LOVE!!!

Thank you to Ralph Marston and Diddy for this blog. I damn cried here at work…I really did. What you have written speaks to the dream in my heart to sing…to touch millions of lives with my voice and to inspire people from an amazing platform. Thank you….thank you for being a vehicle for God’s affirmation, since this is a daily struggle. Not to know what the dream is…but to not allow the negativity, doubt and worry of the world sidetrack me from my own dream.

    Thank you.

    Brilliant, as always.

  32. Henderson B says:

Awesome post, so encouraging. Yes keep pushing forward towards the destiny that has been written for you!

  33. Mr. Marston’s words have brought me much inspiration since I first begun to read them not to long ago. This body of work is no different. As I am currently in a battle between the “reality” of the general population of despair and disbelief and my reality of possibilities, perseverance, triumph and happiness, I hold fast to these words and they express the deepest part of my soul that believes without a doubt that my dream is my reality. It’s only a few more steps forward and as I may get “knocked around relentnessly”, I will still press forward. These words were just what I needed at this point in my journey. Thank you for the inspiration.

  34. I am a faithfully @RalphMarston reader but I’ve never come across something so real….Your right, I can’t explain it….but I know it will ALL COME TO PASS. B-E-A-UTIFUL KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ;) Love, @TENACITY_JONES

What a great idea diddy. Is so unfortunate that we all didn’t grow in the same community or country which make things happens in deferent ways but we all human created by God. I remember when i was young i always like to hang out with people older than me n most of dis people are people that love music so much. When i graduated into high skul, i begging to do music. When i get to ss 1 dat some people knows as base 10 we form a group call d east/west cost corner it was all written all over d wall at d back of d class. I was representing badboy n we all do music n freestyle that it got so big dat d senior student in base 11 n 12 use to come over n battle wit us. But we were always been discourage by our V.P who always come to chase us away on society day when we are doin our thing. When we get to base 12 d group was broken n was ask to clean off d names on d wall without any encouragement. But i still keep my hope alive that i will be a star someday but d country bad situation came in that makes me forgot my dream at a time. I know if only i we were in a better country like d U.S may be we would have been discovered but what can a 9ja guy like me do. Is just to keep my hope alive and that what am going to do now after reading throug this blog. Let lean how to love one another n appreciate great things

Some might pull you down so far that you it look like it’s no help in the truth . but deep in side the truth is spread as a wave world wide and all knows . and you feel it hitting you go hard or go home . i say go hard no time to go home .and you go so hard it makes you crazy for how many times you go throu the hard times . the hard times made me a winner and i told my family i was going to do it . their was no time to stop even if people wanted to kill me . why cause i tell the truth and no the future and can build the future. they cant take my dream if they wanted to it’s mine but mine to spread in ways others could not think of. they can’t kill my dream it’s for the future.
