Spike Lee hosted a "Man or the Music" event in Brooklyn over the weekend celebrating the life of Michael Jackson. Fans came out for music & a tribute to the greatest, plus were given copies of the Man or The Music MJ Tribute mixtape from J Period.

Michael Jackson is/was the most Awesome-st person that ever walked this earth. He was genuine, and had a genuine compassion, and concern for kids. He had his issues, but it is so-oo-oo SAD that he was so misunderstood!

There so many magical moments I have of Michael Jackson. What he did for the music/entertainment industry, noone will ever come close or even compare to his brilliance,masterful artistry. But he was also a great human being. Such a loving, kind, compassionate giving soul. Michael I will always love you. I miss you so. Thank you Michael for all your hard work and contrabutions to humanity,love,peace&hope… I will never forget you, always in my heart.. I love you sincerley Natalie.

Love&Peace 2u and ur family..There is so much I want to say of what Michael meant to me. Since his tragic death I haven’t been the same. It’s still hard to accept he’s gone. I will never say goodbye to him, cuz everthing I know about music/dance,love,peace,hope,humility,and compassion, he taught me that. All I ever wanted was to meet him,hug&kiss him. And yes I wanted to marry him too. He was every girls dream,still is. He will always be my 1st true love. I still remember the first time I ever saw his video (Billie Jean) I was sooo in love with him,lol. The most beautiful,handsome man I’d ever laid eyes on. He took my breath away. In total AWE of him. The way he moved his feet, the snap of his fingers,the expression on his face and OMG! His sweet angelic voice piercing thru your heart. His big beautiful brown eyes so captivating. Those eyes are like a window to his beautiful soul. I think about him everyday and it makes me so sad.I wrote this poem last year around his shocking death I was very distraught.
