DEREK REDMOND

Derek Redmond was the frontrunner to win the 400 metres in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, but tore his hamstring halfway through the race.  His father ran down from the stands so he could help his son finish the race.  He may not have won but he's the one everyone remembers!!  BELIEVE!!

Same here, tugged at my heart strings, too. The love for his son and his son’s courage to finish the race while in so much pain. Derek Redmond has the heart of a champion.
