WHAT IT TAKES

You have what it takes to live life at its best. You have what it takes to achieve outstanding excellence. You have what it takes to make it genuine, to make it truly your own success.

You have what it takes, and what you have right now is a perfectly good starting point. From here, from now, from whatever you are, from whatever you have, you can take the first step forward. Because you have what it takes.

More than anything, what it takes is desire. Somewhere in you, you have it. How can you be sure? If you're alive and breathing, you have it. You have the desire to matter. You have the desire to make a difference. You have the desire to feel richly and completely alive in your own unique way.

Real achievement, real fulfillment -- they don't come from luck. Yes, you have to be in the right place at the right time, but it's not luck that gets you there. It's you. It's the choices you make. It's the actions you take. Touch your most profound desire. Connect with it often enough and sincerely enough, and you'll figure out how to get yourself in the right place at the right time, anytime you choose.

You have what it takes, because what it takes is you. What it takes is your active involvement and responsibility in your own life. What it takes is to feel how good it will feel when you're living the life of your dreams. Feel it richly and in great detail in your imagination. Feel it so intensely you can't think of anything else.

Then get yourself up, get yourself busy, get yourself going and make it happen. Because you -- you have what it takes.

Just what I needed. I always have such high expectations of myself that if I fail, I lose the energy and confidence for a while. But then I always continue where I left, only the thoughts of all those other times I failed can be quite annoying. Remarkably enough there is one thing I’ve learned from the repeated failures followed by proceeding, I became aware of my persistent nature, because I easly could have thought to stop and think that it’s not for me to continue what I was doing, and I did think those thoughts, but I knew deep in my heart that I had to continue. I have to. I need to get where I want to be. So I have to be persistent.
